John Cusack carries an all-star voice cast with Jay Leno, Molly Shannon, John Cleese, Jeremy Piven, Steve Buscemi, Jennifer Coolidge and on this computer-animated comedy about a talented scientist who happens to have been born with a deformity very regrettable.
Igor (voice Cusack) may be born with a brilliant mind, but unfortunately the whole world around him is too distracted by his pronounced hunchback to notice. Forced to serve as a humble assistant scientific laboratory to the infamous Dr. Glickenstein (voice Cleese), Igor longs the day it will become a mad scientist, take first prize in the Science Fair of Evil, and finally win the heart Gretchen village vixen.
This year, the village succeeds Igor take the first prize, too. But despite that his lab receives an award from the government, the king confiscates the invention to be used in defending Malaria. Unlike the other Igors, this genius hunchbacked yearns to change the world in the process of his master could never have imagined, and when Dr. Glickenstein died just two weeks before the last of the Science Fair of Evil, took the opportunity to shine.
Now, in order to win the competition, Igor worked tirelessly to convince Eve that the Science Fair of Evil is actually an audition for a stage version of Annie twisted, and that in order to win the leading role that should plunging into the character itself and evil never reveal their inner goodness. But as "tests" set in motion, nosy villagers come snooping around the castle, the evil plans of Dr. Schadenfreude Eve to claim as theirs and Igor starts slowly falling in love with his creation, while realizing that life as a mad scientist May not be as glamorous after all.
